Happy Friday! June 20th, 2014

Let's pretend I did not forget to post this yesterday...enjoy! Have a great weekend :)
Happy Fashion:
Love this look! It's classy but has a really cool edge to it! Great for a summer date night!

Really cool, more "high fashion" look by Zac Posen!
Happy Travel: Italy seems like a fun place to be right now :)

Happy Food: Krave Jerky is seriously the best thing ever! My favorite is the Citrus Basil

Happy Music: Obsessing over Ed Sheeran again! I cannot wait for his album to come out June 23rd! In the mean time I'm listening to his Multiply live show in Dublin.

Happy Video: Can you say girl power? Love!

Happy Randoms:
This is the most precious thing I have ever seen!

Happy Eye candy:
After watching The Fault in Our Stars (check out my "review" here) I'm obsessed with Ansel Elgort and Nat Wolff!

Pretending to be a Movie Critic: The Fault in Our Stars

I watched this movie with one of my best friends the day it came out! I know everyone probably already knows this, but bring some tissues.
I LOVE that John Green was on set for most of the movie. Despite the fact that the movie was so true to the book, there are a few scenes that were cut out (although I don't think it took away from the movie at all).
Casting was ON POINT. Love, love, love Ansel, Shailene and Nat! They were amazing. I think they fit the characters really well and I was so engrossed in the movie the whole time! Ansel portrayed Augustus's confident, honest personality perfectly! (He even had a limp) The portrayal and actions of Hazel and Isaac were so real. I would totally act that way when throwing a fit (Isaac). Or check my phone every 2 seconds when waiting for someone to call me (Hazel).

I don't want to spoil anything, but I thought the movie was beautiful. I do not want to really compare it to the book, because books and movies are two different medians, and I think they create different experiences. If you haven't read the book, I think you will gain more from the movie if you read it first. Regardless, I love both! I believe the movie totally lives up to the book's expectations. Nothing is sugar-coated, the ups and downs of cancer are apparent and portrayed (although, it could have been more in-depth). The focus is still on Hazel and Augustus's relationship, and Hazel's speech at the end of the movie was the real tear-jerker for me (which really sucked because I was walking out the theater with fresh tears!)

Are you a John Green or TFIOS fan? Comment down below so we can fangirl!

Lots of love,
CC

P.S. The actors all have great chemistry! Ansel, Nat, and Shailene are pretty much besties in real life which is amazing :) At all the events they went to, you can see how much fun they had and how close they are!
Ansel comforting Shai at the premiere!

So sweet!

Feeling Artsy...

Hi Everyone!
I am so sorry  I have been gone for so long but I have been swamped! School is rapidly ending and I have to start studying for finals but I will be back once school is over with a post on my prom (which is WAY later than most people's, but maybe I can inspire you for next year?)

If you guys saw this crazy post, you know that I take a class called "Theory of Knowledge" in school. It's kind of like philosophy, we have to reflect on knowledge, ways of knowing, different areas of knowledge etc. (it can sometimes be mind blowing and sometimes make you wish you could blow out your mind) Anyway, we had an assignment to complete "The Art Assignment", and while I was writing up my reflection for this Art Assignment Assignment (Yes, that is a running class joke...) I felt so inspired by the whole thing! I did the "What, How, Where" assignment, which was so fun but soo embarassing! Looking back at my work, I think I'm actually going to attempt all of the assignments! They are so fun and creative. They can seem sort of scary and awkward, but it is all for a purpose!
I encourage you guys to do at least one assignment, or at least check this out! It is so cool (plus, John Green and his wife - The Yeti (for all you nerd fighters XD) are hosting it!) Let me know if you try it out in the comments below!

Lots of love!
