Pig Party?? + My Outfit

Hi DIYers!
I'm such a weirdo, but I love pigs! Hahahaha
I was deciding on a theme for my birthday party this year (I always plan somewhat extravagant parties because, yet again, I am a weirdo) and I finally settled on a pig theme!

My invitations were sort of tricky, but to make it fun and creative I typed all the information up on a pig, and I made it scratch-off so if you scratch off the "mud" you can see all the deets!

Gossip Girl, Honey Tea and Sheet Masks!

Hi All!
My posting schedule was thrown off a little this week because I spent 5 days doing some intense travelling! I got back this morning (my flight was 6 and I was dying!)

Quick rant: My shuttle was supposed to pick me up at 3:30 (ugh I got up at 2:50) after waiting for about 15 minutes they tell me it's running late and is coming at 4:10 (Umm...why did I have to wake up at 2 for??) Then after waiting for it again at 4:10 until about 4:45 it FINALLY comes. Ok, that wasn't SUPER problematic but it was just beyond annoying and it has made me horribly grumpy the whole day. Even after coming back home and taking a nap I am still as slow as a sloth.

So, today has consisted of doing absolutely nothing!
After taking a shower today I put on a super moisturizing sheet mask (oh wow, my skin is so soft from it! hahaha) I still look a little blotchy, but I don't feel as tight and itchy from the stupid, disgusting, recycled airplane air! I literally can't stand flying...

This mask is from Asia with organic ingredients including collagen, aloe vera and edeweiss. I love sheet masks because they are so easy to use! This one is amazing for dry skin!
After the mask I took a quick nap then I curled up with some honey and lemon tea so soothe my sore throat, and watched some Gossip Girl! I  have all 6 seasons :)
Pig mug + Gossip Girl :)

Which episode is your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below!

Take some time off to relax!

Pretending to be a movie critic: Romeo and Juliet 2013

Ok, ok. Yes. I watch way too many movies...and it's a little bit sad...BUT I finally got around to watching the latest Romeo and Juliet (with Hailee Steinfield and...Douglas Booth *swoon!*). First of all, I loved that they filmed on location because the scenes were absolutely beautiful!
Although the characters spoke in Shakespearean most of the time they were easy to understand so it did not take away too from from the movie if you're like me, and despite multiple years of learning Shakespeare, don't understand that much hahaha. The chemistry between Hailee and Douglas wasn't that bad, I think it could have been stronger, but it was still enough to really get into the movie.
And...SPOILER ALERT! They die! (that was sort of cliche...hahaha) And as Hollywood tends to do, it did not follow Shakespeare exactly, in that, there is a moment between both deaths when they talk to each other for a moment. Juliet wakes up just after Romeo drinks the poison (ugh, so typical!) but the poison does not have an immediate affect, so they kiss and blah blah, then Romeo dies and Juliet stabs herself. I have to say that even though it did not follow the play exactly that scene was quite beautiful. For hopeless romantics such as myself it was a bittersweet scene to see them reunited after being separated for so long (what was it, like a WHOLE day?? *gasp!*). And I know the play itself comments on the naivety and infatuation of teenagers, but for entertainment value and to add some tension, I think that was a nice addition (They did that in the Luhrmann Romeo and Juliet as well).

Overall, I really liked it. I think the most recent adaptation might be my favorite, it just suits my taste most. If you're really into romance and Romeo and Juliet why not give this a watch. If you don't like it, at least you got to stare at Douglas Booth for two hours :)

Lots of love!

P.S. Ed Westwick with long hair? I'm sorry but I thought he looked kind of ridiculous! From the dashing Chuck Bass to the intense, slightly dark (and kind of messy?) Tybalt! But he is an AMAZING actor! I can't get over the line when he says "Come settle with me boy!" it's probably just me, but I got some goose bumps!

DIY Sunscreen??

OMG! I am sooo for DIY products! But what do you think about DIY Sunscreen? It's so simple even I could do it. Do you think it will be equally as effective? Should I try it out and give you guys a little review?

The recipe (from popsugar beauty) is so simple:
EVOO
Coconut Oil
Essential Oil
Zinc Oxide Powder

It's super moisturizing (all of those amazing oils!) which is great for my dry skin. I don't know about you all but nothing is less attractive than having peel-y white sunscreen marks on your face! :(

Seriously though, have you tried making your own sunscreen? If you have let me know what you think in the comments below! Should I try it myself?

Lots of love!
